  2. Get 2-3 tbsp oil for potato frying

  5. Prepare 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  6. Get 1 tsp Red chilli powder
  7. Prepare 1 tsp kasuri methi
  8. Make ready 1 tsp Coriander powder

  10. Prepare 1 tsp aamchur powder
  11. Get Handful Coriander leaves
  12. Make ready 1 tsp turmeric powder
  13. Prepare 1 tsp salt
  14. Get 1 tsp garam masala powder
  15. Take 1-2 tsp lemon juice
  16. Make ready 1 tsp mustard oil
  17. Make ready (For Rice):-
  18. Get 1 cup basmati rice, soaked 15 minutes
  19. Get 6 cup water
  20. Prepare 3 cardamom
  21. Prepare 3 cloves
  22. Take 1 inch cinnamon stick
  23. Get 3-4 black peppercorns
  24. Take 2 bay leaf
  25. Take 1 tsp oil
  26. Prepare 1 tsp salt
  27. Get (For Gravy):-
  28. Prepare 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  29. Take 1 Onion sliced
  30. Get 2 large tomato pure
  31. Make ready (For Layering):-
  32. Take leaves Fresh Coriander
  33. Take 1/4 cup saffron milk
  34. Take 3 tbsp Fried onion
  35. Prepare 1 tsp desi ghee
Instructions to make Dum Aloo Biryani:
  1. Firstly, boil potatoes, peel and roast baby potatoes on medium flame untill golden crisp.. prick potatoes with toothpick.
  2. Take a heavy bottom kadai add oil fry cumin seeds, add onion sliced fry till translucent now add tomato pure cook for few minutes. Add curd marination mix well cook for 7-8 minutes. Add boiled fried prick baby potatoes mix well in gravy covered kadai for 10 minutes.
  3. Take a pan heat oil add cardamoms, cloves, black pepper bay leaves, add water boil for 5-6 minutes remove cardamoms, bay leaf, cloves now add rice cook 80% drain off the rice and keep aside.
  4. Now sprinkle fried onions and Coriander leaves on dum aloo, add layer of half cooked rice on dum aloo.
  5. Top sprinkle coriander leaves, fried onions, saffron milk and desi ghee.
  6. Cover with aluminium foil and close lid simmer for 10-12 minutes. Finally enjoy dum aloo biryani with raita and chutney.
