Dhokra or Dokra is an art form created in the "lost wax casting" method. Dhokra is one of the oldest lost wax metal casting techniques practised in India. Dhokra (also spelt Dokra) is non-ferrous metal casting using the lost-wax casting technique. Instructions to make Dhokra:
  1. Mix sojee, oil, lemon juice, sugar, salt and pinch of turmeric.
  2. Add sour milk, chillies and sweetcorn
  3. Add the hot water
  4. Use a steel tray and grease very lightly with oil
  5. In a pot on the stove boil water with a steaming utensil
  6. Before adding mixture to the steel tray add enos and mix well then immediately add mixture to to tray
  7. Sprinkle sesame seeds ontop
  8. Put the tray in the pot with the steaming utensil.
  9. Wrap a cloth around the lip of the pot and close the pot. Steam for 15 minutes
  10. Once steamed remove the tray from the pot and let it cool
  11. Add chopped coriander and cut in squares
