You make Amala from processed cassava. You make Ewedu from special vegetable called Ewedu. Ensure you eat some when you visit Africa. Ewedu is a traditional soup native to the Yoruba part of Nigeria it is often served with Amala or any other traditional swallow food like Eba, Pounded yam or fufu.

Steps to make Amala and ewedu soup:
  1. Ground egusi with crayfish, opeyi, Cameroon pepper
  2. Uju leave
  3. Boil meat to tender
  4. Pour palm oil in a pot and allow it to heat for 1min
  5. Add chopped onions
  6. Mix the egusi with little water and pour into the oil
  7. Keep stirring for 2-5mins
  8. Add water Or meat-stock and cover the pot
  9. Allow it to cook for few minutes,add the meat, stock fish and pomo
  10. Stir together,add little amount of water
  11. Add Maggi and salt Then cover, cook for few seconds
  12. Add Ugu leave And turn off the heat
  13. The heat from stove will steam the Ugu.
  14. For the Amala. Boil water In a pot
  15. When it starts to boil add the flour and keep stirring

Ensure you eat some when you visit Africa.
