Urad Dal Poori, also called Bedmi Puri is a very famous breakfast usually eaten in Delhi and some parts of Uttar Pradesh. Urad dal add extra flavor to the conventional Puri. The puffy pooris are made with wheat flour, urad dal and spices. It is also known as bedai poori or Urad dal poori in many parts.

Steps to make Urad dal ki poori:
  1. Firstly wash urad dal with water 3-4 times then soak it in water for 3-4 hours.
  2. Now drain out the water from soaked dal then keep it in a mixer jar and grind it coarsely.
  3. Now in a big utensil add ground urad dal, wheat flour, suji, oil and all spices then mix them well.
  4. Now divide the dough into small portions, and roll it with the help of rolling pin to make poori.
  5. Take a pan and heat oil on medium flame, then slip the poori in hot oil and press it little with a frying spoon. Then turn it to fry from another side till it turns golden brown.
  6. Remove the poori in a plate and fry all poories in the same way, Crispy Urad Dal Poories are ready to eat, serve it with Aalu Masala Sabji.

The puffy pooris are made with wheat flour, urad dal and spices. It is also known as bedai poori or Urad dal poori in many parts. So it is also known as urad dal puri.
