Saganaki is named after the frying pan in which it is traditionally prepared, a diminutive of sagani which is a frying.   6. Prepare 1/2 pack parsley
  7. Prepare 1 glass white wine
  8. Get Oil
  9. Prepare Chilly flakes
  10. Prepare 1 bunch olives (optional)

Serve with a simple salad and plenty of crusty bread to mop up the delicious juices. Gently sink the prawns and feta chunks into the sauce. After this time, the prawns will be cooked, while the feta will be getting gooey and crumbly. Place the prawns and sauce in a bowl.

Steps to make Prawns saganaki - feta and tomato sauce:
  1. Chop onions and add them to a sauce pan. On very low heat cook onions until soft but not brown. Add garlic and the chillies and cook for another minute or so. If the pan gets too dry and the onions start burning add a splash of wine
  2. Add the tomato sauce and the white wine, cover and leave to cook for 10 min on low heat
  3. Add prawns and half of the parsley. cook covered for 2 minutes
  4. Add the crumbled feta, the rest of the parsley, turn off the heat and leave the feta to melt.

After this time, the prawns will be cooked, while the feta will be getting gooey and crumbly. Place the prawns and sauce in a bowl. Garnish with a little more shredded feta.
