  7. Pour the batter into the cakepan and place in the oven middle rack to bake
  8. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes or until a fork inserted comes out clean
  9. Cool for 5 mins on the tin then remove cake from pan and set on a tray or cooling rack
  10. Cool completely and serve plain or use frosting of your choice
