The ingredients needed to make Prawn satay (Indian style):
  1. Get 10 Tiger prawns
  2. Prepare 1/4 tsp Turmeric power
  3. Get 1 tsp Chilli powder
  4. Get 1 tsp Pepper and cumin (freshly crushed)
  5. Prepare 1/2 tsp Garam masala
  6. Prepare 1 tsp Ginger& garlic (freshly crushed)
  7. Get 1 tsp Lemon juice
  8. Make ready as Salt-as needed
  9. Take as required Seasoning mix-for sprinkling

Start by marinating the prawns in one tablespoon of the oil, the garlic, salt and chilli flakes. Heat a frying pan over a medium heat with one tablespoon of oil. Add in the sliced onions and pepper and fry until just softening, then set aside. Serve with the sauce for dipping.

Steps to make Prawn satay (Indian style):
  1. Peel and clean the prawns in water.
  2. Now add all the ingredients(except seasoning mix). marinate the prawns.
  3. Skew the marinated prawns and keep it in the freezer for 20 mins..
  4. Remove the skewers from the freezer and now place it either in the stove TOP using wired mesh (generally used to cooking bbq)or in the bbq pit and cook it for few mins
  5. Do not overcook prawns as they become rubbery and difficult to eat.
  6. Once it is cooked place it on the plate and add seasoning mix.
  7. Spicy prawn satay is now ready to take.

Add in the sliced onions and pepper and fry until just softening, then set aside. Serve with the sauce for dipping. Satay Udang (Shrimp Satay) Ground macadamia nuts enrich this spicy Singaporean-style shrimp satay. We use Jimmy's Sate sauce which is a bean based sate with peanuts but they are not the predominate flavour or ingredient. These tandoori shrimp skewers are absolutely delicious, with wonderful aromas and deep flavors of the Indian spices.
