Today I am showing How to make MAWA or KHOYA, one of the main ingredients for making different sweets and recipes. This is nothing but condensed milk solid. Khoa, khoya, or mawa is a dairy product, originating from the Indian subcontinent, widely used in the cuisines of the Indian subcontinent, encompassing India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Pakistan. It is made of either dried whole milk or milk thickened by heating in an open iron pan.

The ingredients needed to make Khoya kheer:
  1. Get 1 kg milk. (Boiled)
  2. Prepare 100 g Basmati Rice (Soaked)
  3. Make ready 5 _6 Green Cardamom (open)
  4. Prepare 1 cup sugar
  5. Prepare 150 g khoya
  6. Prepare 1 tbsp Rafhan Ice Cream Powder
  7. Take (dissolve in water)
  8. Get 2 tbsp Cream
  9. Take Almond as required

Khoya also known as mawa or khoa is dried evaporated milk solids. the milk is slowly simmered in a large iron kadai, till all its moisture evaporates and it reduces to solids. Apple Khoya Kheer is a very simple, creamy and rich Indian dessert that can be made in no time for many festivals like Holi, Diwali, Makar Sankranti or any other occasion. It is one of the delicious and. But traditionally khoya Malpua is prepared on Poush Sankranti.

Instructions to make Khoya kheer:
  1. Boil milk in a deep pan add soaked rice, cardamoms, cook over low flame, stirring occasionally till the rice is cooked and the milk becomes thick.
  2. When done add sugar, Khoya. Stir till sugar gets dissolved properly.
  3. Now dissolve ice cream powder in some water and add into the pan.
  4. Stir frequently with hand whisker, until mixture turns thick.
  5. Now close the flame, add almonds, cream & mix well. - Transfer into a serving dish and garnish with almonds.
  6. Serve hot or chilled.
