Instructions to make Daal puri and white potato curry:
  1. Pressure cook the daal adding salt till 1 whistle
  2. Now knead a soft dough with flour salt sugar oil and water
  3. Cool the daal and blend it with sugar chilli Powder and hing, coarsely
  4. Now heat oil and saute it to prepare a filling
  5. Take small portion of the dough and roll into round shape
  6. Place the filling in the middle and fold it
  7. Roll it into round shape with rolling pin
  8. Heat oil and deep fry
  9. Now in another pan heat 2 tsp oil and temper nigella seeds and green chillies
  10. Add Potatoes and saute well adding salt
  11. Add water and boil until it is soft
  12. Add sugar and mix
  13. Serve daal puri and white Potato curry

I generally had it with roti instead of luchi. After marriage when I was "forced" to learn how to make luchi, I tried many types of curry that goes with it. Add urad dal and channa dal and fry till they turn red. Potato curry or aloo curry recipe stovetop & instant pot instructions. Waxy potatoes like Yukon gold, white potatoes and russet potatoes are best for curry.
